Are you ready for the Riyadh Masters 2024 event, Dota 2 esports fans? As part of the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) and the Esports World Cup 2024, the Riyadh Masters 2024 event is one of the biggest of the year. 

Taking place in Saudi Arabia at Riyadh Boulevard City in front of a live crowd, the Riyadh Masters 2024 event will see 20 of the best teams compete for their share of the massive $5 million prize pool. Here's what you need to know, including the schedule, teams competing, tournament format, and where you can watch the Dota 2 esports action unfold.

Riyadh Masters 2024 Schedule & Format

In case the prize pool didn't make it clear, Riyadh Masters 2024 is a huge event featuring three stages of competition. It runs from 4 to 21 July 2024 for a total of three weeks.

Twelve teams qualified via their respective regional qualifiers, and eight teams got invited direct to the Group Stage (stage 2) thanks to their standing on the EPT leaderboard. You'll find the three stages of the Riyadh Masters 2024 with their schedule and format outlined below.

Play-In Stage Dates & Format

The Play-In Stage of the Riyadh Masters runs from 4 to 7 July 2024. Check out the format below.

• The 12 teams from the regional qualifiers are divided into two groups of six teams each.
• Groups feature a single round-robin format.
• All matches are best-of-two.
• The top three teams from each group advance to the Group Stage.
• The 6th-place team is eliminated.
• The 4th and 5th placed teams from each group are matched against the opposite groups.
• Winners of the 4th and 5th placed team matches advance to the Group Stage, while the losers are eliminated.

Group Stage Dates & Format

The Group Stage of the Riyadh Masters runs from 10 to 14 July 2024. Check out the format below.

• Two groups of eight teams each compete in a single round-robin format.
• All matches in the Group Stage are best-of-two.
• The top four teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs.
• The 5th and 6th place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs.
• 7th and 8th-placed teams in each group are eliminated.

Playoffs Stage Dates & Format

• The Riyadh Masters playoffs run from 16 to 21 July 2024. Check out the format below.
• The 12 remaining teams compete in a double-elimination bracket.
• First-round matchups are based on their placement in the Group Stage.
• The Grand Final is best-of-five, while all other matches are best-of-three.
