The lineup contains the following players:
- Linus "Limmp" Blomdin
- Simon "Handsken" Haag
- Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov
- Neta "33" Shapira
- Adrian "Fata" Trinks
While Limmp and Handsken are the two returning players who were part of the organisation from 2016 to 2017, it will be veteran player Fata taking up the role of captain in this new Alliance. In a Facebook post announcing the changes, he spoke about how it feels to join Alliance and what taking on a new role will mean.
“I am looking forward to represent Alliance in the upcoming season. Transitioning to position 5 as well as captaining the team is a definitely new chapter for me, and I'm very excited to see how it will go. As a team, we will practice hard to perform this season and bring positive results to all of our fans – new and old.” - Adrian "Fata" Trinks
Alliance parted ways with their old lineup last week, as their former players left to join Team Liquid. This came after Liquid's own iconic lineup left to form their own independent organisation despite placing 2nd in the $34mil tournament.
Both Team Liquid and Alliance will be attending the MDL Chengdu Major Europe Closed Qualifier this weekend to try earn one of two spots available for the first Major of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit. With Alliance seeking to ' not only to make it to The International in Stockholm, but to win it all on our home soil', securing early DPC points will be crucial and the absence of Team Secret and PSG.LGD will improve the chances of other teams to gather points in the first Major of the season.
