Take a seat, Nephalem, as we'll explain how the Diablo Immortal Winds of Fortune event and its timer works, alongside the important dates, times, and rewards players should be aware of to maximize their gains.
Winds of Fortune Start & End Dates in Diablo Immortal
The Winds of Fortune limited-time event runs from 6 to 13 December 2024. The event begins at 03:00 local server time, and ends at the same time on 13 December, so there's really no confusion.
A bit of lore text to get the blood flowing:
Horadric Scholars have poured over their tomes to discover the origin of increased materialized wealth, while the merchants of Sanctuary have seized the opportunity to increase their abundance. The source: Winds of Fortune.
While the Winds of Fortune event is live, players can activate their 24-hour buff. Once activated, the buff’s duration is in real-time and will end 24 hours after it's been initiated. Yes, you have to remain active to really get the most out of your buff. Those who do not activate their buff will get it automatically activated 24 hours before the event ends, so that's 12 December at 03:00 server time.
Diablo Immortal Winds of Fortune Rewards & Timer
The reward is double (duplicate) drops from most events in Diablo Immortal for that 24-hour period that your buff is active.
If you get 2000 Gold and 10,000 experience, as well as a Legendary 1-handed sword as drops, you will now get 4000 Gold, 20,000 experience, and x2 Legendary 1-handed swords in that same drop. The following items will drop in duplicate quantities.
- Gold
- Experience
- Battle Pass Points
- Normal Gems
- Legendary Items
- Items
Furthermore, all items that drop from the activities listed below will also be doubled, so double the fish, for example!
- Horadric Bestiary
- Challenge Rifts
- Bounties
- Fishing
- Dungeons
- Purge the Depths
- Accursed Towers
- Hidden Lairs
- Farming in the wilderness
- Codex Activities
Actual Battle Pass rewards are not doubled, and there's also no change to the weekly limit on Normal Gems and Battle Pass points to drop. Blizzard has also noted that there are some limits, explaining: "You’ll earn double the amount until you reach the limit. Please see the event in-game for more details." At the time of writing, the precise limits are unknown.
