Diablo 4: How To Complete Desperate Remedies Side Quest Guide

How To Complete Desperate Remedies Side Quest In Diablo 4

To start this side quest, you must first travel to Wejinhani. Once there, speak to Elder Lau and ask him what is wrong with the ailing people around him. After doing this, you will be tasked with speaking to three elders situated south of Elder Lau.

Speak to each of the elders, and they will start to shed more light on the situation. Then, return to Elder Lau to unveil your findings. After talking to Elder Lau, he will instruct you to search for Brecht's Corpse, as he was the first to be infected.

You must search the pyres of Last Hearth just north of your location for the corpse. Search the bodies available at each pyre, and they will drop Gold and other small rewards. You will eventually find Brecht's body, at which point you must interact with it to receive Brechet's Journal.

The journal will detail how Brecht's sister had used an amulet on him, resulting in his demise. Elder Lau will then approach you, shedding more light on the situation. He will inform you that Brecht's sister is, in fact, Aldara, the so-called miracle worker of the village.

Looking good so far? You are about halfway through the Desperate Remedies side quest in Diablo 4. After speaking to Elder Lau, he will suggest that you steal the amulet and give it to him to break this curse. Set on a journey to retrieve Aldara's Amulet from Light's Refuge. 

Enter the dungeon and confront Aldara, where she will claim that her brother sent you for her amulet. She and her allies will attack you in hopes of defeating you, but do they know who they are dealing with? It's You! Raise your weapon and defeat them. She will drop Aldara's Amulet.

After a brief yet glorious battle, and with Aldara's Amulet now in your possession, return to Elder Lau. Inform him that you vanquished Aldara in combat, and he will respond with a less-than-surprised reaction. Now,  place Aldara's Amulet on the pedestal next to Elder Lau.

He will then begin working his magic in an attempt to cleanse the piece of jewelry. After a successful ritual, he will look drained. Speak to him. He will tell you it is cleansed and will now protect you, handing it back to you. Elder Lau will then seemingly bite the dust.
