The Daughter of Hatred, Lilith, also known as the Mother of Sanctuary, makes a frightening return in Diablo 4. The world of Sanctuary is filled with terrors signifying her presence, but one thing players shouldn't be afraid of is finding the Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4.

This guide explains everything Diablo 4 fans need to know about Altars of Lilith, from the rewards of interacting with one to permanent stat increases that will make leveling alts a breeze and the locations of these Altars of Lilith across all five regions of Diablo 4's Sanctuary.

Altars of Lilith Stat Increases & Rewards in Diablo 4 S1

For interacting with an Altar of Lilith in Diablo 4, your character will get five (5) Renown for the zone they are currently in, as well as XP as a reward. The Altar of Lilith locations will be displayed on your zone map for your character once discovered, but these marked locations on the map will not carry over to an alt.

The biggest reason to find Altars of Lilith, however, is the permanent stat increases. To make it abundantly clear, these permanent stat increases are for all your characters. For example, if you interact with an Altar of Lilith of your Barbarian and gain +2 Strenght, all your alts will also start with +2 Strenght. 

Every Altar of Lilith adds one of the following stats to all your characters:

• +2 Strength
• +2 Intelligence
• +2 Willpower
• +2 Dexterity
• +8 Maximum Life

You can gain quite a lot of stats for your main and alts by finding the Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4. The stat increases only happen the first time you interact with an Altar of Lilith, which means you can't go on your alt and get more stat increases from Altars of Lilith already discovered.

The permanent stat increases from the Altars of Lilith are fixed. This means that they are the same for every player and depend on which ones you interact with. For example, one Altar of Lilith in Fractured Peaks will provide the exact same stat increase for everyone.

All Diablo 4 Altar of Lilith Locations

There are five major regions in Diablo 4's world of Sanctuary, namely Fractured Peaks, Kehjistan, Scosglen, Hawezar, and Dry Steppes. Judging by the first region, Fractured Peaks, which has 28 Altars of Lilith, we think there should be well over 120 Altars of Lilith locations (to be confirmed) for players to discover in Diablo 4.

The Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4 are located off the beaten track. This means you will likely not find them during main quests. Instead, you need to explore each zone of the world, maybe even get past some obstacles, or head to dead-end paths to find an Altar of Lilith.
