Destiny 2 Survey Could Hint At Single-Player Content

A Destiny 2 survey sent out by Bungie could be hinting at the addition of single-player content, among other things.

The survey, which can be seen above, lists the following items at things that are 'missing from Destiny 2':

  • More cooperative gameplay content
  • Competitive leaderboards
  • Life skill systems
  • Larger player count activities
  • Melee Weapons
  • Character relationship systems
  • Playable characters
  • Offline progression features
  • Strategic, slower-paced game modes
  • More single-player gameplay content
  • Crossover content
  • Third-person combat
  • More competitive gameplay content
  • More open-world maps
  • Ways to connect with others
  • Player generated content
  • Game modes that incorporate other genres
  • Ship combat
  • Prestige system

While Destiny 2 is playable as a single-player experience, none of the game is actually built to be played alone. The title is designed to be a multiplayer experience, so Bungie mentioning single-player content here is interesting, as it suggests they could be looking to do something similar to their Halo campaigns.

Of course, any of this content wouldn't be implemented for a while. Bungie has multiple seasons planned out for the game, along with multiple different expansion packs for the game, so they wouldn't be implementing something like this until the second saga begins, which could be as late as 2025.
