2023 is the year AAA survival horror games come back in full force, and leading the pack is none other than the remake of 2008's genre-defining Dead Space.
Dead Space's return has been a long time coming, and while it's a remake rather than a new entry in the series, fans are excited nonetheless. As for the game itself, the recent trailers and previews indicate a visually impressive experience, though the 70$ price tag has been concerning for some.
As such, many fans have been wondering whether there is an alternative way to play Dead Space Remake at launch, most likely through Xbox's growing subscription service. In this guide, we answer whether Dead Space Remake will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch or not.
Dead Space Remake is not coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch
Unfortunately, Dead Space Remake won't be available to play on Game Pass at launch. As of this writing, neither EA nor Motive Studios have hinted at such a possibility, and it's unlikely to change given the game's release is on the horizon.
However, Xbox Game Pass owners can get Dead Space Remake for a 10% discount, thanks to EA Play, which is part of the service. This means players can get the Dead Space remake for nearly $60 or £60, which isn't entirely a bad deal for a current-gen only title.
Moreover, Game Pass owners also have access to the original Dead Space trilogy for free courtesy of EA Play.
Dead Space Remake launches on 27th January 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
