After a series of teasers hyping specific additions and changes on the way in the next patch, the Disney Dreamlight Valley update 9 release date has been confirmed. This update sill mark the first arrival of Monsters Inc as a new Realm, but that's far from the only thing coming in this update. Disney Dreamlight Valley Monsters Inc Update Release Date

The vague teasers have finally culminated in Gameloft announcing via social media that the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update will release on February 28, 2024. This will be the 9th major update for the title, this free content update has been dubbed "The Laugh Floor." We should get full patch notes just ahead of deployment.

Very early on, players began predicting Mike Wazowski and Monsters Inc would be joining Disney Dreamlight Valley when he was shown on the 2024 roadmap. Once hints for the update began rolling out earlier this month, we've the following is on the way in this update:

All of this and more bug fixes and quality of life improvements are expected, and many players will be focused on the new characters. So far, it looks all but confirmed that both Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan aka Sully will be new characters unlockable through quests in the Monsters Inc realm.
