How to Complete A New Directive in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If you've been diving into the new Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time DLC then you'll have quickly befriended EVE and added her to your village. Of course, nothing feels more important once EVE is there than trying to bring her back together with WALL-E.

If you want to reunite EVE and WALL-E in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you'll have to become better friends to tackle EVE's first friendship quest. We've got all the details you need on how to start and complete A New Directive in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Reunite EVE and WALL-E in Disney Dreamlight Valley

When you first arrive on Eternity Isle for Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time, some of your earliest quests will require you to interact with newly added character EVE. You need to do that to snag the Royal Hourglass, and after that you'll tackle the riddles of DIRECTIVE: DANGER to help reassure her and get EVE as a character in your village.

Once you've finished DIRECTIVE: DANGER, you need to get EVE to Friendship Level 2 to unlock A New Directive. As the primary focus of this quest is reuniting EVE with WALL-E, this quest isn't going to trigger until after you've unlocked WALL-E in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Your first task after receiving the quest from EVE will be to feed two monkeys in Ancient's Landing. You need either a Banana Split or any 5-Star Meal for this, such as Ranch Salad or Bouillabaise. We've got more details here on how to approach monkeys to feed them.

Once you've fed them, speak to EVE again and you'll need to now follow her into The Overlook. If you haven't unlocked The Overlook yet, you have to spend 6000 Mist to gain access to that area and keep this quest going.

How to Finish A New Directive (EVE Friendship Quest)

Once you enter The Overlook, EVE will bring you to the Secret Garden where she hopes to set things up for WALL-E. You have to gather multiple items for EVE, including a BnL Picnic Blanket and BnL Trashcan Planter, both of which require you to clear Swirling Sands with your Hourglass.

However, one of these items is actually hidden in one of the large Swirling Sands. That means you need to upgrade your Hourglass, which is done via the Timebending Table and a requirement for a separate quest with Merlin. For 3000 Mist and an Ancient Core (found via Timebending), you can upgrade the Hourglass to clear even large Swirling Sands throughout Eternity Isle.

Clear the rest out in Ancient's Landing and you should locate both BnL items. You also need to gather the following:

• 2x Jade
• 3x Orange Bird of Paradise
• 3x Yellow Bird of Paradise
• 3x White Bird of Paradise
• 3x Red Luminescent Flower

Jade can be mined in The Courtyard or The Overlook from rock spots. The Bird of Paradise flowers can be found in The Docks and The Courtyard, and the Red Luminescent Flower can be found in The Overlook and The Ruins.

Bring all of the newly gathered items to EVE, and you'll now just need to wait and enjoy the reunion. After EVE and WALL-E are back together, snap a few pictures with them by the blanket to complete A New Directive in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
