How To Kill Yourself and Respawn in DayZ

As mentioned before, knowing how to kill your character and have them respond is a great trick to have on hand. It can spare you the long, arduous wait for your character to bleed out due to a gunshot or die from starvation or illness that may have grounded you.

So let's take a look at how you can kill yourself and respawn in DayZ:

Find any weapon that you can use. Even tools will work for this purpose.
Select your weapon and reload it if necessary. Then press F11 and wait for the animation to complete.
Now your character should be ready for his digital suicide. Just left-click, and you’ll be booted to the infamous “You’re Dead” screen.
Just press Escape and then respawn, and a new game of DayZ will start.

This will respawn you into a new game, just as it would if you had died naturally. It gives you a quick and easy method to reset after having some bad luck and makes for a smoother gaming experience, as you won't have to wait for ages to die in some random bushes after taking a bullet from a sniper or catching an illness.

You can also just ask another player to kill you if you are playing multiplayer or with a group of friends. But the method outlined above is useful if you're playing solo and don't have anyone around to put you out of your misery.
