Your rank in Crow Country depends on various factors of your gameplay, including how many secrets you found, how many heals you used, and more. Here's everything that's taken into consideration when determining your rank:

• Secrets found
• Heals used
• Hints spent
• Lives used

Now, let's talk a little more about how you can perform the best way possible in all of these areas.

Lives used: Lives are not the same things as deaths. You can die an unlimited number of times and have it not count toward this counter, provided you have "Lives" turned on in settings. However, dying without "Lives" turned on will take you back to your last manual save point rather than bring you back to where you currently are. Playing with Lives off is your ticket to a high rank.

Hints spent: "Hints" refers to hints used at the little hint kiosks throughout the levels. They'll let you know what to do next if you need help. You can spend one token to get a hint toward your next objective, or another token to get even more details about what to do.

If you don't use any of these hints, you won't lower your score. You can use up to 10 hints total, but the more you use, the more it'll negatively impact your rank.
