Best Shanghai Major Opening Stage Pick'Em Challenge Team Choices

One of my favorite things to do before and during a Counter-Strike Major Championship is to place my Pick'Ems via the Viewer Pass and then share my predictions with our readers, friends, and anyone else who would listen. The Perfect World Shanghai Major is no different, as Valve has unleashed the Viewer Pass and Sticker Capsules.

In this guide, I'll share my Pick'Em predictions on my quest to upgrade my event Coin to Diamond. I've mostly gotten to Gold in previous Major Championships, apart from the Stockholm Major, where I managed to upgrade all the way to Diamond (thanks, NAVI!).

Pick'Em Predictions For Shanghai Major Opening Stage

To begin choosing your Pick'Ems, first purchase and activate your Shanghai Major 2024 Viewer Pass. It costs roughly $10, depending on your region, and you also get access to the event Active Pass leaderboards and the ability to upgrade the Shanghai Major Coin from Bronze all the way to Diamond.

Your first challenge is to now get five correct predictions for the Opening Stage results. Gamers will have to pick two teams who they think will go 3-0, then six teams that will qualify with either a 3-1 or 3-2 score, and then the two teams they think will go 0-3.

I have high hopes for Team Liquid with the young AWPer Roland "Ultimate" Tomkowiak's current form, and Virtus.pro is always a strong side to contend with. The MongolZ and Rare Atom might just get past the Opening Stage as the Shanghai Major is played in front of their home crowd if the pressure doesn't get to these solid players.  

Everyone starts at Bronze, and whenever you upgrade your Coin, you also receive a Souvenir Package.

After simply purchasing the Viewer Pass and locking in your Pick'Ems for the Opening Stage, you'll be one point away from upgrading your event Coin to Silver. If you get five of the 10 Pick'Em predictions for the Opening Stage correct, you'll earn a point. Good luck, and have fun!
