The Opening Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major already delivered some huge upsets that most Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans might have found difficult to predict, with Fnatic, Cloud9, and Virtus.pro not even making it through, The MongolZ flourishing for a 3-0 in front of their home crowd. 

Please note: Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to CS2 Major Championship results, as we've seen clearly in the Opening Stage, which produced quite a few upsets. We are not responsible for losing your chance at the Diamond Coin. I recommend going with your gut or, alternatively, copying my predictions at your own risk.

Pick'Em Predictions For Shanghai Major Elimination Stage

If you are late to the party, remember that to start making Pick'Ems, you must first purchase and then activate the Shanghai Major 2024 Viewer Pass, which costs roughly $10, depending on your region. This gives you access to the Shanghai Major Coin and leaderboards.

With rumors circulating that NiKo might leave G2 for Team Falcons, this might be the "last dance" for the current G2 Esports roster, and what better way to finish things off than with a clean 3-0 and possibly even a Major Championship trophy? Team Vitality is also looking strong, so I put them at another 3-0, and while I think NAVI could win the entire event, the team is known for slow-ish starts in the first match or two, so I put them in the 3-1 / 3-2 bracket. 

Wildcard Gaming and MIBR made it through the Opening Stage with 3-2 scorelines, so I don't think they have much hope of winning in the Elimination Stage, where the best teams in the world are competing.

Important note: You have until 5 December before the first matches begin to lock in your predictions.

Everyone starts at Bronze, and whenever you upgrade your Coin, you also receive a Souvenir Package. You need three points to upgrade your Coin to the next level. Just by locking in your Elimination Stage Pick'Ems, you already get one point, and you get another point by getting five of these predictions correctly.

Admittedly, things went a bit pear-shaped in my Pick'Ems for the Opening Stage.
