There's quite a bit of hype building for the sixth season of the ESL Impact League, the all-female Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) event that has seen tremendous growth. Tournament organizer ESL has announced important dates and some details about ESL Impact League Season 6.
First up, the dates! We'll see two open qualifiers run for each region, namely Europe, North America, and South America, followed by an online league and, finally, a LAN final to be held in November in Stockholm, Sweden. Check out the precise dates below.
- 4 to 6 August 2024: Open Qualifier 1
- 9 to 11 August 2024: Open Qualifier 2
- 28 August to 20 October 2024: Online League
- 22 to 24 November 2024: LAN finals
Unfortunately, there are no Asia qualifiers. This comes as a bit of a surprise since a team from the Asia region, HSG fe, made it all the way to a top-four finish at ESL Impact League Season 5.
The breakdown of spots in the LAN final is five teams from Europe, one from North America, and two from South America.
Female CS2 teams can register for the open qualifiers in their respective regions via the official ESL Impact League Season 6 page. Those who make it to the LAN finals will compete for their share of the $123,000 prize pool, with another $27,000 for other stages of the competition.
ESL has also shared the LAN finals format for CS2 esports fans to look forward to. Check it out below:
