Format & Schedule at BLAST World Final 2024
The BLAST Premier World Final starts with a Group Stage. This stage features two double-elimination GSL-style format groups. All matches are best-of-three.
You'll find the list of opening matches in each group, which also showcases the Group Stage team distribution and schedule, below.
Group A opening matches:
- NAVI vs. Astralis - 07:00 CET on 30 October 2024
- MOUZ vs FaZe Clan - 09:30 CET on 30 October 2024
Group B opening matches:
- G2 vs. Liquid - 12:00 CET on 30 October 2024
- Vitality vs. Spirit - 14:30 CET on 30 October 2024
On 31 October 2024, both groups' Winner and Elimination matches will take place. The winners of each group advance directly to the semifinals of the playoffs, and the runners-up advance to the quarterfinals as the high seeds. The third-placed teams advance to the quarterfinals as the low seeds, and the bottom team in each group is eliminated.
The remaining six teams will then compete in a single elimination bracket where the Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches are best-of-three, and the Grand Final is best-of-five.
Playoffs Schedule
- 1st Quarterfinal on 1 November at 10:30 CET
- 2nd Quarterfinal on 1 November at 13:30 CET
- 1st Semifinal on 2 November at 10:30 CET
- 2nd Semifinal on 2 November at 13:30 CET
- Grand Finale on 3 November at 11:00 CET
Keep in mind that the start times may change slightly due to unforeseen circumstances or matches running longer than anticipated.
Last year, we saw Team Vitality lift the trophy at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi after defeating FaZe Clan with a clean 2-0 win. This time around, the grand finale is best-of-five, and FaZe Clan isn't exactly in top form, while Team Vitality is missing William "mezii" Merriman as the British rifler is anticipating the birth of his child.

In our Pick'Em predictions, I put FaZe Clan to drop out in 7th/8th place and G2 Esports and NAVI to make it to the grand finale. Let's see if those predictions come true or if Team Vitality will surprise me.
