In Content Warning, getting more views for your SpookTube channel is the name of the game, and the only way to do it is by recording terrifying things in the Old World that will interest people enough to make them tune in to your stream. Here's how to get more views in Content Warning to become the top SpookTuber in the world.
How To Get More Views In Content Warning
Your first goal in Content Warning will be to reach 3,000 Viewers. After that, your goal will skyrocket to over 40,000. Reaching that goal of 3,000 shouldn't be too tough, but as you progress, it'll get harder and harder to attain the SpookTube fame you crave. Here are a few tips for getting views quickly as you play, and ensuring that your channel takes off like you always hoped it would.
Play With A Team
Yes, you can technically play Content Warning by yourself. But should you? Probably not, since when you die - and you very well might - it's game over. Playing with a team gives you a huge advantage, since they can continue the journey even if you die, bringing back the camera and gaining views for your whole team. They might even be able to bring you back from the dead if your team purchases a Defibrillator.
Playing with a team will also inevitably give you lots more scary and funny content to film and encourages you to use in-game voice chat to communicate, increasing your view count.
Don't Waste Footage
It's okay to film a short little intro and outro if you fancy, or a quick few seconds of your friend doing an emote, but don't waste your footage too freely. You have a limited amount of footage (which you can track in the upper-right if you're holding the camera), and you can't get more without returning home. This means that, while you can use some clips of your buds or of the creepy environment to flesh out your video, you'll want to spend most of your time taping the terrors of the Old World. And trust us, you'll find plenty.
You can always upgrade your camera at the little shop kiosk at your home base, but you'll never have unlimited footage, so it's a good idea to get a feel for how much time your camera has on it and get used to using your film at wise moments.
Record Monsters
The most obvious, and important, way to get views for your channel is to record the monsters you come across once you descend into the Old World. There are many different types of monsters in Content Warning, each one with its own ability. Some are more aggressive than others, but no matter which monsters you film, you'll get more views. Just be careful not to fall victim to their attacks! Once you have enough money, you can buy the Shock Stick to attack enemies and film your fights, granting you even higher viewership. Before that, though, you're on your own.
Filming various monsters is key to getting more views. SpookTuber viewers like variety, so be sure to give them what they're wanting and provide with clips of tons of different monster types. You'll only gain viewership once for each monster you show, so focus on showing off different monsters rather than showcasing one multiple times.
Record Artefacts
While they won't help you gain quite as many views as recording a monster head-on, you can also record the artefacts you find around the Old World to gain some more viewers. Those might include bones and other items. You can either just take photos of the bones on the ground, or hold them up and do an emote on camera to get even more viewers.
Use Emotes
Aside from filming monsters and recording artefacts, the next best thing you can do to get a few views is to emote on camera. This doesn't net you nearly as many views as managing to film monsters and viscera, but it's a good way to get a few extra views if things aren't looking too interesting.
Don't Lose Your Camera
Once you've got the footage you want and need, there's an important last step: don't lose your camera on the way out!
If a teammate dies with the camera, you'll need to recover it from their body to keep the footage.
If you all die, or if you get out but don't have the camera, you won't have any footage to upload and thus no views - so actually keeping the footage is just as important as getting it in the first place.
