COD: Mobile Shotgun tier list - Every shotgun ranked from best to worst for Season 5

The start of COD: Mobile Season 5 introduced some significant balance changes which are already shaking up the Season 5 meta.

By far the biggest changes were brought for the SMG class, which reflected on our updated SMG tier list, with quite a few shifts in tiers.

What about shotguns? This class will remain a viable choice for anyone who likes the in-your-face playstyle and prefers close-quarter combat over long-range encounters.

COD: Mobile Season 4 Shotgun tier list 

COD: Mobile Season 5 didn't add a new shotgun into the game's arsenal. This means we still just have six shotguns to choose from when compiling our new tier list.

Please note: This tier list is accurate at the launch of COD: Mobile Season 5. Balance changes can happen throughout the season.

This tier list for shotguns in COD: Mobile Season 5 is based on the current multiplayer meta, as well as the general power level of all six weapons.

Description of the tiers

We have opted for a standard five-tier system, S to D.

S-Tier: The absolute best shotgun to use in COD: Mobile Season 5 which can blow your enemies to smithereens.

A-Tier: With a good loadout these shotguns can go toe-to-toe against the S-Tier.

B-Tier: These shotguns are capable of delivering a whole lot of damage if used correctly.

C-Tier: This shotgun tier absolutely requires you to use a perfect loadout. 

D-Tier: The trash tier. You would be much better off using one of the other shotguns in this list.

It is important to note tier lists are not an exact science. 

COD: Mobile Shotgun tier list

Below, we've ranked all six shotguns for the start of COD: Mobile Season 4 from best to worst, kicking things off with the only shotgun in the S-Tier. 

S-Tier Shotgun:

• KRM-262

As with the previous few seasons, the KRM-262 remains the best shotgun to use in COD: Mobile Season 5. The weapon's high damage and versatility put this gun above anything else in its class.

A-Tier Shotgun:

• Echo

With its extremely high damage and low recoil, the Echo is capable of disintegrating enemies into fine dust in close-range combat. This semi-automatic shotgun will never let you down.

B-Tier Shotguns:

• Striker
• HS2126

The Striker boasts great accuracy and mobility, but its abysmal fire rate and relatively low damage for a shotgun make us put it in our B-Tier. With proper attachments, it can be great, but it requires practice.

Additionally, we bring back the HS2126 to the B-Tier as we think that the weapon might perform better in the meta following several SMG nerfs.

C-Tier Shotgun:

• BY15

It's not that we don't like the BY15, but the weapon's main perk is a decent range, while all other stats are inferior compared to better options. That's simply not enough to put it anywhere above the C-Tier currently.

D-Tier Shotgun:

• HS0405 

Unfortunately, the poor HS0405 is still at the bottom of our COD: Mobile shotgun tier list. Hopefully, developers will acknowledge the weapons shortcomings and make some changes.
