- List of All Civ 7 Civilizations
With an official release date confirmed and pre orders live, the final road to Sid Meier's Civilization 7 is underway. Every new game is going to have to innovate and change things up, but one thing players can rely on is a diverse cast of leaders and broad selection of civilizations.
They're making some bold gameplay changes in Civ 7 by disconnecting leaders from civilizations to increase customization options as you progress between ages, and additional reveals continue to roll in via official previews or gameplay footage from content creators who got to play an early build of Civ 7. As launch day closes in, we're tracking all Civilization 7 leaders and civilizations that have been confirmed so far.

As for the civilizations of Civ 7, things are different this time around with them being linked to specific ages with changes happening during each transition. Some will be locked to the Antiquity Age, Exploration Age, or Modern Age while others may be usable across multiple ages.
It does appear that players may have the option to stick to a single civ through multiple ages based on some of the gameplay footage that we've seen, but that's not something that's been confirmed just yet and could only be an option in specific cases. Here, we'll outline the civilizations that have been confirmed so far and note their overall playstyle if known.

The inclusion of Benjamin Franklin does signal some version of the United States will be present, but that and many other details have yet to be confirmed. While we're as eager as any for the Civilization 7 release date to arrive, there will surely be plenty more to learn and more teasers to enjoy between now and then.
