New Warzone map Caldera and Vanguard Season 1 delayed

Activision has announced that we will have to wait a week extra before jumping into Caldera.
New Warzone map Caldera and Vanguard Season 1 delayed

The excitement among Call of Duty: Warzone players increases as we are inching closer to the release of Warzone Pacific, a brand new chapter of the battle royale, which will include integration with the latest title in the franchise, the (slightly) post-WW2 set, Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Initially planned to be launched with Vanguard, the Caldera map's launch has been quietly pushed back to 2nd December, set to be released together with Vanguard Season 1.

Nonetheless, on 20th November Activision shared another update on the situation with the new map and Season 1, informing the impatient players about another, albeit smaller, delay of the new map's release.

This Friday evening the official Call of Duty Twitter account posted an updated Season 1 roadmap for Vanguard and Warzone Pacific.

And while the content plan remains exactly the same, the schedule of the releases is pushed back by a few days, as the launch of Warzone Pacific and Season 1 has now moved from 2nd December to the 9th.

In addition, Vanguard owners will still get 24-hour early access to the Caldera map, and for them, the Warzone Pacific era starts on the 8th of December.

The postponement of Warzone Pacific means that Vanguard Season 1 is delayed again, to align with the full integration of Warzone and Vanguard, which will now happen on 8th December as well.

Season 1 will include new maps and modes for Vanguard, as well as a major Zombies update, and of course, a battle pass.

The Pacific Caldera map features an entirely new island area, full of green hills and lush jungles, a stark difference to the war-torn gloomy city of Verdansk. The map features new types of vehicles and it will be significantly bigger compared to Verdansk, but we are still yet to learn all the details about the battle royale's next battlefield.
