JGOD breaks down the best snipers for Warzone Season 3 Reloaded

The latest update for Call of Duty: Warzone introduced some previously unannounced changes to the optics introduced with the Black Ops: Cold War integration. These changes fundamentally change the way these optics look and perform and it has had a cascading effect across the Warzone meta with no one quite sure what the best sniper, or loadout, is in Season 3 Reloaded.

Though just as quick as the Warzone meta shifts, content creator JGOD drops a video on his YouTube channel that clears up the confusion. One of his most recent uploads focuses exclusively on the game's various sniper rifles, breaking down each and ranking them in three separate categories that by the end of it any would-be sniper will have a much clearer idea of what to equip themselves with when hitting Verdansk.

The best sniper in Warzone Season 3 according to JGOD

JGOD chooses to rank each sniper using three metrics: ADS speed, bullet velocity, and rate of fire which then helps place them into one of three categories: at one end you have the aggressive snipers with quick aim down sights (ADS) speed they are ideal at 60-100m. Then with slightly more range the hybrids, and at the other end you have what he calls "traditional" snipers, ideal for long-range engagements but with relatively slow fire rates.

Once the numbers are crunched and the weapons ranked the results prove surprising. There are two rifles that come out neck-and-neck when their ratings across all three metrics are averaged out and that is the SP-R 208 and Kar98k, which JGOD categories as a hybrid and aggressive sniper respectively.

The top-performing rifle in each metric also proves interesting and ultimately a case can be made that the Kar98k is the best sniper in the Season 3 Reloaded meta as it comes out on top for ADS speed and 2nd in rate of fire (RoF).

The ZRG 20mm comes out in top for bullet velocity and with a very competitive RoF, it wipes the floor with the other long-range sniper rifles.

The fastest RoF out of all the sniper rifles is the SP-R 208, which coupled with its impressive bullet velocity and manageable ADS speed make it the "jack-of-all-trades" and the best Hybrid sniper in Season 3 Reloaded.
