The EX1 is a brand-new weapon introduced in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, described as a "prototype energy rifle effective at long range" that players can unlock via the Season 5 Battle Pass.
As somewhat of a weird assault rifle gimmick that certainly doesn't match Vanguard's post-war theme, the EX1 understandably had many players curious about how it might perform in matches.
As a result, there are many interesting and effective EX1 attachment builds to try in Warzone Season 5; this follows the gun's high customizability in the Gunsmith. Here's the best "laser gun" class setup for the EX1 in Warzone Season 5.
Best EX1 Laser Gun Class Setup In Warzone Season 5
The following loadout is derived from the YouTuber xProMvz. We strongly encourage you to check out his channel for a more detailed analysis and to watch the gameplay.
- Muzzle: Magnified Relay
- Barrel: Dim Uproot Short
- Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Stock: Removed Stock
- Optic: LVL-X IS
- Magazine: Royal-PV Cell Reserve
- Proficiency: Fleet
- Kit: Heavy Hitter
The first attachment is the Magnified Relay Muzzle, offering an additional +1 charge capacity. Next, you'll want to equip the Dim Uproot Short Barrel for buffs to charge-up time, aim walking movement speed, ADS speed, and speed to fire speed.
For the Underbarrel attachment, you can pick up the SMLE Pistol Grip for +2 sprint to fire speed and +1 hip fire accuracy. Next, equip the LVL-X IS Optic to boost ADS speed; notably, this attachment is largely based on personal preference.

Then, you can use the Removed Stock to boost movement, sprint to fire speed, and ADS speed. For the Proficiency attachment, equip Fleet for buffed weapon swap quickness and movement speed with Fabric Grip Rear Grip for boosted ADS speed, sprint to fire speed, and hip fire recoil recovery.
Lastly, equip the Royal-PV Cell Reserve Battery for additional charge capacity to prevent having to "reload" often and the Heavy Hitter Kit attachment for melee stun power.
