MW3 Campaign: How To Fix Not Picking Up Weapons Bug

There's an occassional bug doing the rounds in Modern Warfare 3's Campaign where Operators seem unable to pick up weapons, or throw any grenades. We encountered this bug during one of the Campaign's later missions, Trojan Horse, where Captain Price was seemingly making an unintended pacifist run.

During the mission, which takes place in London, UK, the player takes control of Captain Price once more and leads soldiers through an underground tunnel in pursuit of Makarov. Naturally, the tunnel is full of Konni operatives, which Price and Co. need to push their way through. Easier said then done, especially when you find yourself suddenly unable to pick up, fire, or throw any weapons. 

How To Fix Operator Not Picking Up Weapons In Modern Warfare 3 Campaign?

This bug is a bit of an annoying one to fix. If this happens to you during the Trojan Horse mission as it did for us, then you'll be tempted to try: allowing yourself to be killed, or restarting from the most recent checkpoint. Sadly, neither of these options will work.

Instead, to fix the bug, you'll need to restart the mission completely. For us, this bug happened fairly early on in the mission, just after Price first enters the tunnel, which meant that there wasn't much we needed to retrace. But there's a chance that it could happen a lot later, or in a different mission entirely. 

Note that we only experienced this bug once, with Price during the Trojan Horse mission. We're unable to confirm if this can happen during other missions, or if the above fix will work in these other scenarios.
