The new year is almost here, and organisers are slowly starting to share their plans and visions for the competitive scenes of various esports titles.
Hopefully, we will get to enjoy much more live LAN events next year, than in 2020, but that, unfortunately, depends on the situation with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
When it comes to Call of Duty League, Activision has revealed details in regards to COD League 2021 format and structure, after they have previously shared competitive rules for Black Ops Cold War.

The new season will mark the return of classic tournaments, in the form of Home Series and Majors.
Majors will feature all 12 teams in the Call of Duty League competing in a double-elimination bracket, and there will be 5 Majors tournaments throughout the season.
Prior to each of the Majors, three Home Series events will be held, to determine tournament seeding for the Major.
Teams will be split into two groups with 6 teams, and over the course of three weeks, teams will be playing against other teams from their groups, in order to determine seeding for the upcoming Major.
Teams will by earning CDL Points for each match win throughout the season plus extra CDL Points based on their performance at Majors.

CDL Points are crucial, as teams will be earning them throughout the whole season, and they will determine who are the best eight teams to qualify for the 2021 Call of Duty League Playoffs.
Matches will be best-of-5 with 4v4 team compositions, and interestingly enough, COD League 2021 will move to PC + Controller as the new platform.
When it comes to COD League 2021 schedule, the full 2021 season schedule is yet to be announced, and we expect to find out more details about it sometime in January 2021.
