Is Nuketown Coming Back in Black Ops 6?

Could one of the most beloved maps in Black Ops history be making a return in Black Ops 6?
Is Nuketown Coming Back in Black Ops 6?

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launching on October 25, there's a lot that fans are itching to get stuck into. Be it the upcoming campaign, Multiplayer, or the return to round-based Zombies, for many this is return to CoD's roots.

But when we think about CoD Multiplayer, and Black Ops specificially, we often think back to our favorite maps. Rust and Shipment have a special place in our hearts, and have been reimagined in Modern Warfare 3. Fans are hoping to see Nuketown receive a similar treatment.

Will Nuketown Return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

It seems Treyarch will be rolling out some new content fresh after the Black Ops 6 launch, including the beloved Nuketown map. According to CharlieIntel, the studio will be releasing the map on November 1, 2024.

So while Nuketown won't be available at launch, it won't be long before it's added to the map pool. Black Ops 6 will feature 16 new maps at launch, which includes 12 core 6V6 maps, and four Strike maps which can be played in either 2v2 or 6v6. One of the Strike maps takes place in the Nuketown neighborhood: Warhead.

In this map, parts of the neighborhood have been submerged in the desert sands, with debris and wreckage scattered around. There's plenty of cover for you, and opponents, to peak out from behind.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, 2024 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
