The much-anticipated multiplayer mode for CRITICAL REFLEX's Buckshot Roulette is now available as a free Steam update, just in time for some Halloween night fun. Players can dive into the viral game with up to three friends - all while checking out the new items and other fresh content in the game.
Buckshot Roulette, as its name implies, is inspired by Russian roulette - but players use a shotgun, and face off against a strange opponent called The Dealer in a shady underground club. Just like in real Russian roulette, the shotgun has both live and blank rounds, and players decide each turn whether to shoot at themselves or the Dealer - in hopes that they'll use the blanks on themselves and the live rounds on their opponent.
Players can use numerous items to impact gameplay, allowing for actions such as blocking a players' turn, seeing whether a live or blank is inside the shotgun, and more. New items include the Jammer, which skips another player's turn, and the Interverter, which switches up the turn order of the table.
"Two to four players enter – only one will leave. Roll the dice with your life. Good luck!" Developers teased in a press release.
Critical Reflex confirmed back in May that multiplayer was coming to the game, noting that the team is "working hard on making this dream a reality." On Halloween 2024, players can now experience this long-awaited update for themselves.
Buckshot Roulette is available on Steam for $2.99|£2.49|€2.99, and is currently available at a 15% discount.
