Today, Bendy and the Ink Machine creator TheMeatly revealed on X/Twitter some sneak peeks at a previously unrevealed game that he was working on during the development of BATIM. The game's title is "House of Meatly," the photos in the post suggest; the developer says that it was never finished, though he worked on it from 2017-2018.
The game looks to be based on the developers' own character, "TheMeatly" - photos show a desk with the words "Meatly Inc" behind it, as well as characters that look like the official TheMeatly logo. While the game doesn't bear a ton of similarities to the Bendy franchise, there are some commonalities; both games seem to have a mascot antagonist, and the font in some screenshots seems to be the one used in most Bendy assets.
Unlike in Bendy and the Ink Machine, though, the player character in House of Meatly seems to have a gun in every screenshot, suggesting that combat might be a main aspect of gameplay. Each screenshot also has a large reticle in the middle, suggesting even further that combat might be important in House of Meatly. There's combat in Bendy, but the game focuses more on puzzles and stealth, suggesting that this could be a major difference between the two titles.
TheMeatly didn't provide much more information about the House of Meatly, including whether the game is currently in production or will never be completed. However, the Bendy creator recently wrote on X/Twitter that "big things" will start to be revealed soon - many of which he said he has "spent years putting into motion." Will House of Meatly be one of those releases? It seems possible, but only time will tell what the developer announces regarding both the Bendy franchise and House of Meatly.
