In Baldur's Gate 3, there are a lot of big decisions throughout the game that will change how your game ends. A lot of these choices come in Act 3 of the game, and one of them involves the Nightsong. We've got the lowdown on all you need to know about it.
Should you choose the Nightsong or Lorroakan in Act 3?
First off, in order to get this quest you need to actually have rescued the Nightsong in Act 2. If you haven't, then she'll obviously be dead, and thus you won't be able to do anything with her in the final act of the game. However, if you've rescued her from the Temple of Shar, then you have another branch to this quest once you hit Baldur's Gate itself.
You'll end up at a shop called Sorcerous Sundries, and you'll be able to talk to a sorcerer called Lorroakan. He'll ask if you know anything about the Nightsong and if you say yes, he'll direct you to a portal upstairs. Go into the White Portal on the left as every other portal won't take you to them and you'll be sent to a tower to talk to him.
Lorroakan will ask you to send the Nightsong to him (you can lie to him, but it requires a DC 15 Charisma check). If you send her to him, then you'll be able to choose between siding with Lorroakan and betraying the Nightsong, or siding with the Nightsong and defeating Lorroakan and his elementals.
You'll get loot from either choice, but the main difference here is who will help you in the final battle. If you choose the Nightsong, then you'll be able to call upon Nightsong and Isobel in your final battle. However, betraying the Nightsong and choosing Lorroakan will lose you Isobel but will gain you Lorroakan and Ramazith's Tower in your final battle.
