It's been around two weeks since Ubisoft finally released Assassin's Creed Mirage on PC via Steam, just days after adding Steam Achievements for another AC release, Valhalla. As players enjoy basking in the golden sun and the atmospheric landscape of 9th-century Baghdad as Basim Ibn Ishaq, publisher Ubisoft, has planned a minor patch update for Mirage, adding another much-needed Quality-of-Life (QoL) feature.
As explained in their Launch Q&A developer post on 10th October 2024, the French publisher stated that Mirage won't be reviewed in time for it to be verified for the Steam Deck but has assured players that this will be resolved soon. Luckily, Ubisoft is launching a minor patch update for the game this week, officially verifying its Steam Deck status to continue its gaming experiences on the go with the portable gaming device.
Ubisoft released a new game update via the Steam News hub confirming that Assassin's Creed Mirage will be Steam Deck verified. This will happen as a planned minor patch update for the action-adventure game will roll out via Steam; which once updated, Steam Deck owners can finally continue their journey "to become a master assassin" by joining "the proto-Assassin order known as the Hidden Ones."
The game will automatically detect your Steam Deck and will run default settings for better performances on this device. We recommend keeping using the proposed presets to smoothly experience Basim's coming of age story on your Steam Deck.
Steam Deck owners with a copy of Assassin's Creed Mirage within their Steam Library will want to keep an eye out for this patch update, which becomes available on 29th October 2024. It's unclear if additional adjustments and optimizations or bug fixes to be addressed will be included in this patch update, which we'll update this news article once the patch notes are available.
