AC Valhalla The Siege of Paris: Release date, price, gameplay, enemies, armour, and weapons

Paris is beautiful in summer, and Eivor doesn't want to miss a chance of visiting the city during these hot days.

Though, we doubt that they will do much sightseeing, as they are more interested in raiding and looting.

The second expansion of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, The Siege of Paris, is about to be released this August, and this time around we are going straight to the heart of the European continent, the capital city of France, Paris.

Let's check out what we know about the expansion.

Ubisoft has been rather secretive with The Siege of Paris expansion, as they want most of it to be a surprise for when the players finally start playing the DLC.

Here's what we know from the official description:

"In The Siege of Paris, players will have the chance to relive the most ambitious battle in Viking history with key historical figures of war-torn Frankia. During this key moment in history, players will infiltrate the fortified city of Paris and the River Seine under a prolonged siege, uncover enemy secrets, and form strategic alliances to safeguard their clan’s future."

It seems that the story will focus on more traditional Assassin's Creed elements, with a lot of assassinations, undercover operations and intrusions behind the enemy lines.

Currently, we don't have many details about the new gear coming with The Siege of Paris, but we expect that info will start leaking soon, same as with the previous expansion, Wrath of Druids.

For now, we know that there's a new free update scheduled for release before the expansion, Sigrblot Season, and it will bring new one-handed swords, and various new activities, including fighting tournaments, flying, and board games.

As with the new weapons, we currently don't know much about the new gameplay mechanics that are set to come with the DLC.

We know that new River raids maps and massive battlefields will be an important part of the new gameplay experience, but details on how will that be implemented into the gameplay loop are still non-existing.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla The Siege of Paris is set to be released on 12th August on all platforms.

Ubisoft hasn't revealed the price of the DLC yet, but we do know that the Siege of Paris can be bought as a part of the Season Pass, which include all the major DLCs, for € 39,99.
