Esport organisation OG have entered Valorant esports with the signing of a roster that previously played under the Monkey Business banner.
The move has been an open secret in the Valorant esports scene since the roster first emerged to play in last month's Red Bull Home Ground tournament. (monkey) Business being the original name of the Dota 2 team created by Johan "N0tail" Sundstein before it was rebranded to OG.
The European-based squad which features members from France, Sweden and Serbia have performed well in recent months the finished in one of four qualifiers spots in Challenger1 1, qualifying them for Challengers 2 and earning them approx. US$5,200 in prize money.

The first OG Valorant roster is:
- Dylan "aKm" Bignet
- Dragan "elllement" Milanović
- Théo "OniBy" Tarlier
- Kevin "TviQ" Lindström
- Benjamin "uNKOE" Chevasson
- Julien "daemoN" Ducros (coach)
The squad are all experienced esport professionals with four of the five having backgrounds in Overwatch. Dragan "elllement" Milanović is the one exception having come from CS:GO.
Coach daemoN spoke of making history under the OG banner:
"We’re all extremely honoured to join such a legendary esports organization. Their values and vision are something we highly looked up to when building our objectives and team roadmap.
Some of us have known JMR Luna for a while. Without his unbreakable trust, we wouldn’t be here today. On top of being grateful, we’re also extremely eager to make history ahead of this 2021 season and prove ourselves as true OGs."
The latter's talents shone through in Challengers 1 as he ended the tournament as MVP.
The first time viewers will get the opportunity to see OG in action is in this weekends Challengers 2 tournament, where a top-four finish will earn them a place at the end of split Masters.
