Rocket League and Rocket League Sideswipe are joining forces for the launch of the Turbo Season, the first-ever campaign in the mobile version of the game, with this event offering players even more free cosmetics!
Trying to transition as many players from the 2015 release onto mobile car soccer is no easy task and Psyonix knows this. Their attempt to lure users with shiny items and rewards is ol’ reliable because it works, but how does it work?
Fret not, fellow rocketeer, as here’s everything you need to know about the Rocket League's crossover event with Sideswipe!
Rocket League Crossover: How it works
The Rocket League crossover event has challenges to complete in Rocket League Sideswipe. You get rewarded after completing each reward and the cosmetics will be available in both your Rocket League and Rocket League Sideswipe accounts.
When does the Sideswipe crossover event end?
The Rocket League crossover event will last the entirety of Season 1, the Turbo season, which runs from 2nd December through 24th January 2022.
How to get the Wow! goal explosion in Rocket League (PC/Xbox/PlayStation)
One of the most coveted items from the crossover is the event-exclusive Wow! goal explosion which currently is only available to rocketeers if they complete the challenges from the Rocket League Sideswipe crossover event.
Rocket League Crossover event challenges
To reap your rewards, you’ll need to complete the following challenges:
- Log in to Rocket League Sideswipe with your Epic Account
- Win 20 online matches
Both have to be completed in Sideswipe with the first one redeeming Black Market Nuhai Inverted wheels (known as Limited rarity MTRX: Inverted wheels in regular Rocket League) and the second challenge unlocks the all-new Wow explosion in both games.
Can you trade the Rocket League crossover event items?
Whilst the items show as limited in regular Rocket League, the Rocket League Sideswipe rewards cannot be traded in either setting as they have been locked from such features in PC and console car soccer and the trading scheme isn’t yet available in Sideswipe.
