Rocket League is expanding into mobile gaming.
Psyonix announced on 24th March that a new title called Rocket League Sideswipe will be officially launching for iOS and Android later this year.
The trailer is jam-packed full of action, colours and graphics -- showing customization options for the iconic blue and orange battle-cars, a 2D version of fan-favourite maps and clips of alpha footage.
Featuring 1v1 and 2v2 formats, a full competitive online Ranking system in the works whilst keeping Rocket League’s complex mechanics and sky-high skill ceiling.
Rocket League Sideswipe is said to be built “from the ground up” and will be available for free sometime in 2021.

While the worldwide official release date is still up in the air, Australia and New Zealand will be hosting limited-time Regional Alpha tests on Android via the Google Play Store.
As future dates are added to more and more regions, make sure to keep an eye out for alpha and beta phases as we know how much the Rocket League community loves them rewards.
Psyonix promises more details to come as the year advances, keeping us at the edge of our seats with this alpha showcase.
In the meantime, we’ll have the alpha gameplay trailer on repeat and hope and pray that the game boosts, instead of bumps, Rocket League’s game and brand.
