Pokémon GO x New Pokémon Snap celebration: Details, featured Pokémon and quests

One of the most anticipated sequels by many fans of the Pokémon franchise has been New Pokémon Snap, which after much waiting, will be released this year marking the return of this spin-off since its original launch on the mythical Nintendo 64 in March 1999.

To celebrate the upcoming launch of this new title for Nintendo Switch, the developers of Pokémon GO in Niantic have revealed through their official blog, a new event dedicated to this photographic game and the region where it will be based, the Lental region.

New Pokémon Snap celebration: Featured Pokémon

The Lental region enjoys having many different habitats around it, ranging from deserts and jungles to incredible underwater landscapes where any trainer can have access to delight in the Pokémon biodiversity.

For this reason, during this event many Pokémon inspired by the habitats of the region will appear more frequently in the wild, some of these being Lotad, Cacnea and Ducklett.

Likewise, many other Pokémon species will also appear more frequently in raids, including some big favourites like Vaporeon and Meganium.

However, the biggest novelty will come with the possibility of being able to find Smeargle in snapshots more frequently than normal, bringing with it an opportunity to find it in his Shiny version.

You will have to be very careful with these appearances since Smeargle will only appear in the snapshots a certain number of times. But don't worry, although the Shiny Smeargle will stop appearing after the event, you can find it in future events to come.

New Pokémon Snap celebration: Quests and extra content

Throughout the event, an event-exclusive Field Research and Timed Research will be available, both being focused on taking snapshots that you can share with the game community and the developers on social networks, using the hashtag #GOsnapshot.

To close, a camera avatar item and a camera-themed Gift sticker will be available in the shop during the event. The new Gift sticker will also be available from PokéStops.

The New Pokémon Snap celebration event will be available from 29th April at 10 am, to 2nd May at 8 pm, local time.
