How to evolve Eevee into Sylveon Pokemon GO

Sylveon is one of Pokemon GO's most beloved Pokemon; many fans love the Fairy-type Pokemon for its style and interesting moveset. As such, dedicated Pokemon GO trainers often wonder how they can evolve their Eevee into a Sylveon.

There are two ways players can evolve their Eevee into a Sylveon; while one is much easier than the other, any trainer can evolve Eevee into Sylveon using both methods.

The naming method - Pokemon Go

The first, and easiest, way to evolve an Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon GO is the naming method. Players simply need to name their Eevee "Kira," then click the evolution icon that will appear below the Pokemon and select the silhouette of Sylveon.

With just the change of a name, your Eevee is now a Sylveon!

Do note that Trainers can only use this trick once per Eeveelution - almost all of Eevee's evolutions have a special naming trick - so be sure to use it wisely. 

Buddy Hearts method - Pokemon Go

Trainers who want more than one Sylveon will need to use the Buddy Hearts method to evolve more of their Eevees into Sylveon. 

To evolve Eevee into Sylveon, trainers need to earn 70 Buddy Hearts with their Eevee, then select the 'Sylveon' evolution option.

Earning Buddy Hearts

There are a number of ways players can quickly earn Buddy Hearts. Getting the Pokemon into the "excited" state will allow them to collect double hearts each day.

First, players should complete the following to get their Pokemon "excited"

• Feed your buddy three times
• Play with your buddy
• Take snapshots of your buddy
• Battle with your buddy three times

After the Pokemon is excited, players can then work to earn their second set of daily hearts. To earn the second set of hearts, players should follow these pointers

• Feed your buddy once
• Play with your buddy once
• Take one snapshot of your buddy
• Battle with your buddy once

Trainers who complete all of these steps each day will be able to earn the maximum number of Buddy Hearts and bond with their Pokemon more quickly, allowing them to evolve into Sylveon.
