Palworld Known Bugs, Issues & Workaround Fixes (Jan 2024)

Known Palworld Bugs & Issues: How To Fix

There are several known bugs and issues in Palworld at Early Access launch that the developer is aware of. 

On 23 January 2024, Pocketpair took to Twitter (X) to outline some known bugs and issues affecting the Xbox and Microsoft Store PC versions of Palworld:

Xbox Version:

• The game launches to a static black screen.

Note:Restarting the game and your console could temporarily solve this issue.

Microsoft Store PC Version:

• The game launches to a static black screen.
• The control pad is not recognized. 
• The key guide display is not displayed correctly.
• There is no button to quit the game.

The developers also pushed out an update for these Palworld versions, explaining, "Numerous bugs have been fixed, including sound issues."

While we will have to wait for the developer to push out Palworld updates to fix the issues listed above, there are other known issues players are struggling with across PC and consoles. Some of these have fixes, so let's jump in!

Servers & Multiplayer Issues in Palworld

With over six million players jumping into Palpagos Island, there are some Palworld server issues when trying to play co-op multiplayer. At the time of writing, there is no clear fix. We'll have to wait until this issue is resolved.

Low FPS and Stutter on Xbox Fix

Pal's Getting Stuck Fix

Pals get stuck from time to time, especially your base workers. This means they can get hungry as they can't get to their food or do their jobs properly. A workaround here is for you to remove the Pals from the base slot (via your Palbox) and then re-add them.

It is important to note that Palworld is in an Early Access state on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox. This is not a complete product, so bugs and issues are expected as Pocketpair continues to develop the game.
