Activision Blizzard's highly anticipated free-to-play hero shooter is just a few weeks away from release, and the leaks have started to pour in. A recent Resetera post revealed how players would unlock new heroes in Overwatch 2.
Just hours after the Resetera outbreak, another Overwatch 2 leak has surfaced, giving us our first potential look at the long-rumored new hero - Kiriko.
Overwatch 2 Hero Kiriko cinematic trailer leaked
An unfinished cinematic trailer of Overwatch 2 Hero Kiriko was posted by Youtuber Kuriboh cervantes. The video titled "Kiriko Overwatch 2 leaked short" has since been taken down though fans can still find snippets of it on various social media platforms.
As mentioned previously, the Kiriko cinematic trailer seemed unfinished though it does give us a decent look at the anticipated hero.
In the trailer, the green-haired Kiriko is wearing a white Kimono and a fox mask. The leak pretty much confirms that the mysterious green-colored fox that appeared in the Overwatch 2 release date trailer earlier this summer is none other than the shape-shifting Kiriko.
Kiriko is extremely agile and uses teleportation to reach her enemies and allies very quickly. If the trailer was any indication, Kiriko is indeed a support healer. Her ultimate ability seems to involve summoning blue torii gates to enhance her movement speed and that of her allies.
The Resetera leak that happened earlier suggested that Kiriko will be coming to Overwatch 2 at launch. Kiriko will also reportedly get her own Mythic Skin called Demon Genji and a Legendary Skin called Hinotori.

Unlike Overwatch 1, players won't get instant access to the new heroes in Overwatch 2. Instead, these heroes, including Kiriko, will be part of the battle pass.
Premium battle pass owners will instantly unlock new Overwatch 2 heroes, whereas free players will have to grind a little before they get their hands on the new characters.
Overwatch 2 launches on 4th October 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
