London Spitfire’s new Overwatch roster now features eight players, but it would appear as though the team may be expecting additional signings to come in the near future.
Spitfire will welcome new main tank in Choi “JMAC” Dae-han from Chinese team LGE.Huya, a player who has been said to be among the finest main tank players outside of the Overwatch League, earning the recognition after leading his former team to back-to-back Chinese Contenders titles.
Lee “Schwi” Dong-jae from RunAway and Lim “Glister” Gil-seong from Gen.G Esports are also new additions to the 2018 OWL champions roster, both of which have featured flexible hero pools in extremely successful years with their respective teams.
Glister should prove to be an immediate and invaluable addition to the team given his particular skillset.

Spitfire’s support line has seen a makeover as the team head’s into next season, as Jung “Krillin” Yung-hoon remains the only player from the season two roster. Krillin will also be joined by main support Kim “Fuze” Tae-hoon from Fusion University, as well as Lim “SanGuiNar” Kyu-min and Lee “Highly” Sung-hyeok.
SanGuiNar has previously played for Gen.B, the Korean Contenders sister team and has had a major impact for his OWL team. Spitfire won the inaugural Overwatch League grand finals in 2018, but had a relatively quiet second season, finishing seventh in the regular season and the playoffs after being swept by eventual champion San Francisco Shock.
With the recent signings, London Spitfire has a total of eight players signed for the 2020 season in what looks to be a completely renovated roster for the team. The new crew will certainly have their work cut out for them in 2020 alongside high expectations.
Spitfire will host two homestand matches during the 2020 Overwatch League.
