NHL 25 Pre Order Editions Explained, How to Get Early Access

We're just weeks away from seeing the puck drop on the NHL regular season, but you won't have to wait quite as long to experience the action for yourself. All the NHL 25 editions have now been revealed, and once again there will be a shot at early access for those who secure the deluxe edition.

With tons of extra bonuses for Hockey Ultimate Team and World of Chel also up for grabs, it helps to know exactly what you're paying for. We'll break down everything in each edition here so you can get your NHL 25 pre order in before time runs out.

How to Get Early Access in NHL 25

While there are definitely other great rewards to consider, the biggest reason most players may want to pre order NHL 25 is to take advantage of early access. The NHL 25 release date is set for October 4, but EA Sports isn't breaking their tradition of offering a headstart for some players.

The NHL 25 early access release date will be September 27, 2024. Rather than the three days we've seen in recent years, everyone who pre orders the NHL 25 Deluxe Edition will get to play a full week before the worldwide launch.

NHL 25 Editions and Pre Order Rewards

EA Sports is keeping it simple this year with just the NHL 25 Standard Edition and NHL 25 Deluxe Edition to choose from. Due to the major upgrades in this year's game, it will only be available on Xbox Series X|S and PS5. If you're still on PS4 or Xbox One, sadly you'll have to continue enjoying a past edition or make the leap to current gen.

If you pre order the NHL 25 Standard Edition at any time before the release date, you'll receive the following rewards:

As an extra added bonus, anyone who gets their NHL 25 Deluxe Edition pre order locked in by September 13 will receive a HUT Hughes Brothers Choice Pack (84 OVR) as well. EA Play subscribers (which includes Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members) can save 10% off their pre order, and owners of NHL 23 or NHL 24 can also get 10% off the NHL 25 Deluxe Edition.
