While it's already released worldwide, many players are eagerly watching for an NBA 2K25 trial or playable demo so they can experience the game firsthand before committing to purchasing the full game. An NBA 2K24 trial was made available on PlayStation Plus last year, but players will have to wait a little bit longer before the same could happen this year. Here's everything we know about the expected NBA 2K25 trial release date for PS Plus.
When will the NBA 2K25 trial release on Xbox or PlayStation?
Unfortunately, no NBA 2K25 trial or demo has been released just yet. If we look back on NBA 2K24, the wait might not be as long as some players are worrying. However, Xbox players will likely get the trial a few months after PlayStation users.
The NBA 2K24 demo first dropped as a 3-hour trial available exclusively to PlayStation Plus Premium members on September 26, 2023. That landed just over two weeks after NBA 2K24 was released, and it would mean a PS Plus Premium trial of NBA 2K25 could be very near.
If they use the same timing, the NBA 2K25 trial release date would be September 24, 2024 for PS Plus Premium subscribers. As for Xbox players, the same demo will likely take a few more months to release.
An NBA 2K24 trial quietly went live on Xbox around November 15, 2023. In that instance, it wasn't actually exclusive to Xbox Game Pass and instead was available to all Xbox players as a 2-hour trial. If the same is done this year, an NBA 2K25 trial will likely hit Xbox around November 13, 2024.
