- Spawn will be released into Mortal Kombat 11 from 17th March
- He's the sixth and final DLC character to be released in the Kombat Pack
- His fatality is gruesome even by Mortal Kombat's standards
Spawn is the last DLC character heading to Mortal Kombat 11 in the title’s Kombat Pack, following Joker’s release earlier this year.
So what’s in Spawn’s arsenal? As a new trailer shows, the character sports his savage chains, machine guns, a spiked club, and the power to turn invisible.
His fatality is a particularly gruesome affair – stripping opponents of their skin before consuming them in his cape, reducing players into skeletons.
While suitably absurd, it’s a slightly less comical approach when compared to the Joker’s fatality – which makes references to past games.
Spawn releases in early access on 17th March, while he’ll be available to everyone else from 24th March.
There’s also some new skins to coincide with Spawn’s release, giving new looks to Nightwolf, Jacqui Briggs and Erron Black.
Spawn is the sixth DLC character to be added to Mortal Kombat 11, following the Joker, Nightwolf, Terminator T-800, Sindel and Shang Tsung.
The reveal coincided with tournament Final Kombat, which saw Dominique “SonicFox” McLean triumph in the grand finals against Jarrad “Ninjakilla” Gooden.
