Ubisoft is bringing The Division franchise to mobile platforms with its newly announced Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, a free-to-play third-person shooter RPG set in a huge open world map.
The mobile game even retains some of the core DNA of the PC sibling, like classes. The loadout that you want to rock can be selected via classes that in the game are called “specializations."
Here we take a look at all the specializations in Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence.
All Specializations in Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence
In a recent gameplay walkthrough video, the developers went a little deeper into the mechanics at play in Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence and even explained how specializations work. Similar to the original Division game, players will be able to pick their preferred loadouts via classes that have been given a new name in the game.
In Resurgence, you will be able to switch your loadout on the fly as the situation arises. So what specializations are there in Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence? you ask. Well, as of now, Ubisoft has only revealed two specializations, namely, Demolitionist and Vanguard.
Veteran players will be familiar with the Demolitionist class which was among the original specializations from the first Division game. The specialization makes a comeback in Resurgence and as the name gives away, Demolitionists are all about mayhem.
They will be carrying their trademark grenade launcher around and can call an artillery turret capable of firing mortar shells onto the enemy, even behind cover. Demolitionists even have a fragmentation grenade, inflicting bleed damage to anyone caught in the explosion. The fan-favorite seeker mines also make a return which will let you take out a bunch of opponents quickly.
The second specialization, Vanguard, is a completely new specialization in Resurgence, and not much has been shared about the class as of writing. The official gameplay walkthrough did show off certain skills and abilities, so we have a general idea as to what should be expected. The Vanguard is a scout-type class and can detect and track enemies by creating red triangles over their heads.

This will help your squad in knowing where the opponent team members are, allowing you and your team an easy ambush opportunity. Vanguards can also deploy a mobile cover (as seen in the walkthrough), which basically acts as a portable shield.
For now, these are the only two specializations that have been revealed in Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence. But we expect this list to grow to include a good mix of old and new class types. And that about does it for all the specializations in Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence.
