With the launch of Madden 25 just a few short weeks away, the first look diving into new gameplay enhancements has arrived. Rather than another short trailer, EA Sports has dropped and in-depth video with highlights from two full games featuring one of the NFL's best and one of the top MCS players in history. Madden millionaire Henry Leverette took on Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons in a pair of heated Madden 25 clashes.

While the main focus of the nearly 20-minute first look at Madden 25 was mostly highlighting the new features and how they'll impact gameplay, there were plenty of great moments as multi-time MCS Champion Henry Leverette faced off with Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys. In their first game, Micah used his own team while Henry took control of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Parsons took a two-touchdown lead up 26-13 with just 26 seconds left in the first half. Henry Leverette, channeling the same skills he's used to become the first Madden millionaire because of how much he's won in MCS competition, proceeded to quickly march down the field for a touchdown and a two-point conversion to make the score 26-21 headed into halftime.
Parsons kept things competetive, but he was down 47-43 with just 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter. An attempt to close that gap led to disaster as Henry intercepted Parsons then proceeded to score one final touchdown to make it 54-43 as Henry took the win in their first matchup. Key features like the new ball-carrier balance system, one-handed spectacular catches, physics based impacts, and Isaiah Pacheco's "little kid trying on new shoes" running style were all on display.
They switched it up in the second clash as Micah Parsons took control of the San Francisco 49ers while Henry played as the Dallas Cowboys. A lower scoring second game highlighted new Star Driven Playcalls, custom stems on hot routes, the defensive Switch Stick, and authenticity improvements like specific mannerisms by Dak Prescott.
Henry was up 14-7 in the fourth quarter when one of the most hyped moments of either game happened as Henry picked off NFL linebacker Micah Parsons using Madden 25's Micah Parsons. Henry had a comfortable 28-7 lead as Micah tried a last second field goal to close out the game only for Henry to grab at Micah's controller while simultaneously blocking the field goal in-game.
As they wrapped up, Henry called out the new custom stems on hot routes as the new feature he liked the most. On the other hand, Parsons said the passing felt better and allowed for more control to throw pinpoint passes away from defenders that top-rated players could still catch. If you pre-order the Madden 25 Deluxe Edition or are an EA Play subscriber who wants to check out the trial, you'll be able to try the game for yourself as soon as August 13, 2024.
