The Abraxas Puzzle Box is an optional, somewhat challenging puzzle in Life is Strange Double Exposure that Max will first find in Chapter 1. How To Find The Abraxas Puzzle Box

You'll get the Abraxas Puzzle Box from Reggie during Chapter 1, Scene: Back to School Blues. At this point, you should already be on campus - you're here to meet up with Yasmin - but don't go inside just yet. Instead, turn around and head over to the RIP Grafitti Rock, where Reggie is sitting nearby. This will prompt a quick cutscene.

During the cutscene with Reggie, Max will see Reggie toss the Abraxas Puzzle Box down. You can either take this opportunity to immediately pick it up, or first talk to Reggie for a conversation about Safi. This chat isn't necessary, but it offers some insights into Reggie's perspective on things.

Once you've picked up the box using the "Take" prompt, you'll be pulled into yet another cutscene featuring Reggie. Reggie will explain the box to Max, telling her it's the Abraxas Puzzle Box. Apparently, there are treasures inside for anyone who manages to open it up by employing their keen eye for detail, in-line with the Abraxas values.

Of course, your next step is to take the problem into your own hands and attempt to solve the puzzle box. So pull it out and take a close look.

How to Solve The Abraxas Puzzle Box

There are several sides to the Abraxas Puzzle Box, and the item can be a little confusing at first. But it's actually pretty simple, thankfully, once you know what to do. You'll first want to interact with the side that has the picture of the Founder's Statue, since this will trigger Max to have a revelation. She points out that the Founder's Statue is missing the other bird that's supposed to be on it.

So, following this clue, turn the box until you find the side with a Bird on it. The Bird side of the box can be interacted with, prompting Max to point out that she'll need to melt some wax in order to access the little bird inside. She can't do this without a lighter, so go ask Reggie for one; he'll melt it for you. This causes the bird you need to fall out, so turn the Abraxas Puzzle Box yet again to the side with the Founder's Statue from before. Use the new prompt to "Place bird," completing this portion of the puzzle.

Solving this side of the box will cause the box to open up - but inside isn't treasure. Instead, it's another box with yet another puzzle on it. You won't be able to solve this puzzle for now, so keep the box after Reggie gives it to you and continue on with the story.
