All Honkai: Star Rail Currencies Explained

In total, there are seven unique currencies in Honkai; Star Rail. These are divided into universal currencies that can be spent on almost anything, enhancement currencies to help power up your characters and their gear, and summoning currencies used to acquire new characters. Here is a guide on each currency and what you can buy using them. 

• Credits: Credits are the equivalent of Gold in other gacha or RPGs. It is the most commonly found currency in the game and is used to complete almost any in-game action. Gold is used not only to purchase items from Merchants but is also required when performing upgrades to characters and gear. 

• Stellar Jade: Stellar Jade is primarily used to summon on the various in-game banners in order to acquire new characters and Light Cones. However, Stellar Jade can also be used to refresh Trailblaze Power (the equivalent of Energy) in order to continue playing the game once the daily limit has been depleted. 

• Oneiric Shards: Oneiric Shards is the premium currency of Honkai: Star Rail. It can only be obtained by purchase through the in-game store for real-world money. It can then be further exchanged for bulk amounts of Stellar Jade at a rate of 1:1. 

• Star Rail Pass: Star Rail Passes can be used to summon once on the Standard banner. They cost 160 Stellar Jade each to purchase.

• Star Rail Special Pass: Star Rail Special Passes are used to summon once on any limited banner. They also cost 160 Stellar Jade each to purchase. 

• Undying Starlight: Every time you summon on a banner and receive a three-star or lower item, you'll also receive a small amount of Undying Starlight. Undying Starlight can be used to purchase low-rarity items from the in-game store. 

• Undying Embers: Undying Embers are received every time you receive a duplicate for a four or five-star item or character you already own. Undying Embers can then be used to purchase higher-rarity items from the in-game store.
