Halo Infinite finally has a release date, revealed at Gamescom, the first-person shooter will launch this upcoming 8th December for both Xbox consoles and PC.
The 343 Industries shooter was initially set for simultaneous release alongside the Xbox Series S and Series X in 2020, however, a controversial delay saw the game pushed back to 2021, with a fall release targeted as a best-case scenario.
Despite the lengthy delay, Halo Infinite will release without a co-op campaign and Forge at launch, with the devs shifting their focus to polishing the multiplayer and single-player campaign experience.

Halo Xbox Series X
The exclusive Xbox Series X Halo Infinite edition was also revealed, marking the first limited edition release of Microsoft's latest piece of hardware.
The console will retail for $549.99 and on top of featuring a unique Halo-inspired design for both the console and controller, it will be bundled with a digital copy of Halo Infinite.
Where to preorder
According to Microsoft, selected retailers will have preorders available starting 25th August, but the safest bet is to check out the Microsoft Store directly to keep your eyes on preorders opening up.
Oddly enough, the console will launch weeks before Halo Infinite, releasing on 15th November.
