GTA Online VTOL Controls For Jets In San Andreas Mercenaries Update

GTA Online has been around for a very long time now. Through every update that the game has had, there has been a lot of content added in the nearly 10 years that this title has been out. One of the most important pieces of content that GTA has added is the varied number of vehicles that are now available in the game.

There are a lot of different cars in the game. On top of the car, there are various aircraft that you can purchase as well. A new F-160 Raiju Plane is being added during the San Andreas Mercenaries update as well. On top of a new update, Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) controls will be updated too. Here, we will go over the VTOL control update coming to GTA Online.

What Are VTOL Controls In GTA Online?

Before we say how VTOL controls have been updated in GTA Online, we need to go over exactly what VTOL controls are. As previously stated, VTOL controls are the controls that allow aircraft to take off vertically and land vertically. There are certain aircraft available in GTA Online that can take off and land vertically without the need for a runway.

The Avenger is a good example of this. The Avenger can take off and land vertically in GTA Online. On top of the Avenger, it seems like the new upcoming F-160 Raiju Plane will also have VTOL controls. In preparation for the addition of the new Raiju Plane, Rockstar has updated the VTOL controls to make them easier to use.

What Are The Updated VTOL Controls In GTA Online?

There are plenty of vehicles that can take off vertically in GTA Online. According to Rockstar, the new updated VTOL controls should make it a lot easier to control these vehicles when you are taking off. But how do they work? From what we can see, it looks like VTOL controls have all moved to a singular button.

Rockstar says that players can now use VTOL controls on the L3 or LS button, depending on your setup. Unfortunately, Rockstar did not mention how to use the updated VTOL controls on the mouse and keyboard. We will have to wait and see if there are going to be updated controls for mouse and keyboard players on the PC.
