It is not possible to get into FIFA Ultimate Team or FUT with a list of ultra-expensive players at your disposal without spending actual cash in FIFA 23. Most players who start playing FUT with a budget squad slowly replace players when they earn in-game coins.
There are many variables to consider while forming your first squad including team chemistry, budget, league, formation, etc. Choosing the wrong players will hurt new users more since they don’t have any buffer money to work within the game. In this guide, we will list players who will complement most playing styles and keep the cost to a minimum.
FIFA 23 FUT Starter Squad - List of Best Players
You can base a starter squad in FUT in different leagues. We have chosen the English Premier League to pick players.
Most players in the squad are cheap to buy and give a terrific price-to-performance ratio. The formation is 4-2-3-1 (2). Here is the list of players in the squad.
-
GK - Emiliano Martínez (84)
-
RB - Diogo Dalot (78)
-
CB - Lisandro Martínez (81)
-
CB - William Saliba (80)
-
LB - Konstantinos Tsimikas (77)
-
CDM - Declan Rice (84)
-
CDM - Enock Mwepu (76)
-
CAM - Mason Mount (84)
-
LM - Luis Sinisterra (80)
-
RM - Leon Bailey (80)
-
ST - Gonçalo Guedes (82)
Apart from the above players, we have a few more suggestions, including Kieran Tierney (LB), Nélson Semedo (RB), and Yves Bissouma (CDM). These are the first eleven for your starter squad. As you win more games with them, you can add more players on the bench to replace tired positions after two or three games.
Once you have a proper squad running with cycling substitutes, you can look to buy expensive players as permanent additions for each position on the field. It takes time to build a full five-star squad in the EPL of Fifa 23.
