There are very few games in the world that can strike a good balance of difficult yet engaging for everyone. Elden Ring somehow managed to hit that sweet spot despite how hard the game is. The game is rather difficult, but due to the number of playstyles that players can do, there are ways to make the game easier to handle.
For example, there are many forms of magic that are in the game that can make getting through The Lands Between a lot easier. But one thing that will always make a game easier is through leveling up. Being a high enough level will make any area in Elden Ring easier. Because of that, we are going to go over the best spots to level up in Elden Ring.
Best Early Game Spot For Farming Runes In Elden Ring
In Elden Ring, there are quite a few spots you can go to farm Runes, which are required to level up in this game. The first spot is by the Beastal Sanctum. To reach this area early, you will need to go to the Third Church of Marika in Limgrave. From there, you need to head northeast and eventually find a small teleporter hidden away. Use that teleporter, and you will be transported to the Bestal Sanctum.
Once you have arrived at the Bestal Sanctum, rest at the Site of Grace so you can teleport back. In front of the Beastal Sanctum, you will see a giant gargoyle-looking enemy. Go around it to avoid it attacking you. As you continue south, you will see small enemies holding long spears or similar weapons. These are the enemies you want to defeat. They are called Vulgar Militiamen.
The Vulgar Militiamen hit hard despite their size but are relatively easy to dodge. The main thing is that they are easy to kill, and they will drop around 1000+ runes for every single one you defeat. This will add up quickly, especially if you are at a lower level.
Other Ways To Level Up Quickly In Elden Ring
There are a couple of different level farming locations in Elden Ring that you could go for. But some of them are not accessible until the end of the game, or you are already strong enough to reach them. For example, the White-Faced Varre's quest that will lead you to a giant crow that you can farm will take several hours to arrive, depending on where you are in the game.
But there are other ways that you can level up fast throughout the game while playing normally. For example, finding the Golden Scarab Talisman in the Abandoned Cave in the Caelid region will be useful because it increases the number of Runes you get by 20%. You can also co-op with friends to take down field bosses in Elden Ring for some easy runes as well. You can also kill the Fort Faroth Dragon which is even further south than the Vulgar Miltiamen farming location. All you need to do is sneak up behind it and then attack it for around 15 minutes until it finally dies. You will receive nearly 100,000 runes for doing so.
