Despite ongoing controversy surrounding Diablo Immortal's microtransactions, Blizzard unleashed Season 2, alongside the Bloodsworn battle pass (with an extra paid version) early in July 2022. Alongside multiple changes and additions, there's a Diablo Immortal Hungering Moon event for Nephalem to look forward to.

Diablo Immortal Hungering Moon event - Dates & times

In Diablo Immortal Season 2, the devotees of the Countess (aka the Bloodsworn) have risen up throughout the Dark Wood area, which is where we expect a lot of action for the Hungering Moon weekend event to take place.

Diablo Immortal players can mark their calendars and set their alarms for the Hungering Moon weekend event with the exact start date and time, as well as the end date and time outlined below.

• Hungering Moon starts on 15th July 2022 at 03:00 server time.
• Hungering Moon ends on 18th July 2022 at 03:00 server time.

The developers call on the brave adventurers of Sanctuary to "lend their hand in satiating the moon's hunger" during the first Diablo Immortal weekend event.

Diablo Immortal Hungering Moon gameplay and rewards

While not specifically confirmed, we expect the Hungering Moon weekend event to focus on Dark Wood.

The Diablo Immortal Hungering Moon gameplay mechanics will revolve around collecting Moonslivers, which can be traded for Blessings.

After acquiring seven Blessings, players will have curried enough goodwill with the moon to trade these in for a random reward. Blizzard also notes that: "Offer enough blessings to the moon and it will even present you with its favor."

At the time of writing, it appears there are only "random" rewards for the Hungering Moon weekend event, with no other specifics provided.

A description of the event reads: "The moon is hungry, and it demands blood...perhaps even yours! You, adventurer, gaze upon the moon -bask in its hallowed glow, heed its howl for sustenance and lunar-laced blessings you shall be bestowed."
