As one of the biggest updates ever, Diablo Immortal's Splintered Souls update has three new Legendary gems for players to earn, including the five-star Maw of the Deep! The update also features a new zone, events, Familiar Compansions, and new Helliquary bosses, as well as Inferno difficulties.
In this guide, we outline all three new Legendary Gems, how you can get your hands on the five-star Maw of the Deep, and detail their stats, so let's get started!
New Diablo Immortal Legendary Gems
Available to earn from 14 December 2023 following the server maintenance period, Diablo Immortal's Splintered Souls update features three new Legendary gems, all of which we can see working extremely well with the best character builds.
Below, you can find an outline of the stats/effects for each new Legendary gem in Diablo Immortal.
Diablo Immortal Legendary Gem | Quality | Rank 10 Effect/Stats |
Unrefined Passage | 1-Star | Damage you take while moving is reduced by 15%. You have a 4% chance to be immune to an attempt to Slow you. |
Igneous Scorn | 2-Star | Your critical hits cause explosions that deal 120% base damage +486 to nearby enemies. These explosions cannot occur more often than once every 6 seconds. After triggering an explosion, your damage is increased by 10% for 2 seconds. |
Maw of the Deep | 5-Star | Dealing damage conjures a whirlpool at the enemy's location that pulls nearby enemies to its center. After 2 seconds, a massive sea monster erupts from the whirlpool, dealing 450% base damage +1701 to all nearby enemies and knocking them up. Cannot occur more often than once every 20 seconds. The sea monster also destroys enemy armor for 6 seconds, increasing the damage they take from you by 24%. |
Keep in mind that the effect/stats on these Legendary gems in Diablo Immortal are for Rank 10, so they will be lower when you first find them!
How To Get Maw of the Deep Gem in Diablo Immortal
Clearly, the most powerful new Diablo Immortal Legendary Gem is Maw of the Deep, the only five-star one in the Splintered Souls update. You'll need to get super lucky in Elder Rifts to get one, but there's a way you can at least increase your chances for a limited time.
From 14 December 2023 to 4 January 2024 at 02:59 server time, you have the option to modify your drop table when running Elder Rifts using Legendary Crests. If you enable this option, you have a 50% chance of getting a Maw of the Deep Legendary gem drop when you get a 5-star gem to drop. That's still a small chance, but it's much better than farming Maw of the Deep without this modifier.
